From the most demanding clients and the challenges of photographing a wedding...
Wedding photography can sometimes seem quite expensive. But there is much more to it than just taking photos on the wedding day. A “simple” wedding reportage alone takes me around 56 hours. Please don't forget that our job starts the moment you come across our website. It incurs costs and has to be maintained. In addition to the equipment, computer, editing programs, … photographers usually also need a car to haul all the stuff to the location. (I could theoretically also come to your wedding by bike. My equipment fits in my bike basket. I don't believe in "heavy equipment" and want the attention at your wedding to be focused on you and not on some monster tripod or bright ring light.) Some also have an office or even a photo studio that needs to be paid monthly. (I personally work with many creative artists in a co-working space in an old factory in the heart of Seville. I don't usually need a photo studio because the most beautiful studio for me is nature.)
Bridal Shooting
Here you can see me doing the hard work ;) It was a winter postboda bridal shoot in the beautiful Sierra of Aracena, Andalusia. Poor Noelia was freezing a bit.
The preliminary talk, in which we get to know each other and find out whether we match your wishes, is also very important and part of the process. This is followed by further telephone arrangements and preparations on the day before the wedding. The journey and a decent time buffer also need to be factored in. Only then does the obvious part follow: the photography. Then it continues with reading out the memory cards, backups, image evaluation and the selection of up to 4000 RAW photos, digital development of all images & detailed editing and the creation of the guest photo gallery.
I also accompany the weddings with twice the high-end photographic equipment to rule out technical problems in advance. In addition, wedding photography is a special challenge. There is no second chance for a photo at the most important moments, so you always have to think ahead and react quickly to new lighting situations. Every move has to be just right and, of course, creativity must not suffer, because in the end we are happy to do it all for your big day and at a fair price.
